This is not a game, and it is worth saying so up front: it is Pavel Dobryakov's WebGL Fluid Simulation, an open-source, MIT-licensed toy that runs a real fluid solver on your GPU in real time.

You drag the mouse and the fluid moves — colour is injected where your pointer goes, and then the simulation takes over, carrying it in vortices and eddies that keep evolving after you stop touching it. There is nothing to win, no score and no failure state.

The technique behind it is the standard stable-fluids approach from the NVIDIA GPU Gems chapter the project cites. Because it is a simulation rather than an animation, the behaviour is genuinely emergent: swirls interact with swirls you made earlier, and the whole field settles rather than resetting.

How to play WebGL Fluid?

Drag in long, curved strokes rather than short jabs, since the solver converts your movement into velocity and a sweeping motion produces far more interesting vortices. Let it run untouched for a while after a big stroke — the most striking patterns appear as the field settles, not while you are pushing it. Layer new colour into flow that is already moving instead of into still fluid, which is how the marbled patterns form.
