Cash piles sit on the tarmac between the gates and you sweep them up as you pass. A green plus gate is not always the right choice either, because a multiplier gate further along the same lane can be worth far more than a flat bonus, so the good runs are the ones where you read two or three gates ahead instead of grabbing the first green thing you see.
What the money is for is the second half of the game. Back at the parking lot you buy cars, and cars merge: put two of the same together and they evolve into a higher tier, which is how a rusty hatchback eventually turns into the supercar in the name. Parking spaces have to be bought too, so there is a constant squeeze between spending on new cars and spending on room to keep them.
Upgrades run alongside the merging. Cars have tiers, colours and wheels to unlock, and the money economy is tuned so that each level pushes you a little further along that ladder rather than handing you everything at once. The garage is the progress bar, and filling it is the reason to keep starting another run.
Some levels swap the money road for a proper race. Those drop you onto a track with rival cars, a finish line and a nitro boost, and they end in a win or fail screen instead of a cash total, which breaks up the runner levels nicely.
It is a short-session game. A level takes under a minute, the loading is quick because the whole thing is a small Unity build, and progress is saved between runs, so it suits the kind of gap where you have five minutes rather than an hour.
How to play Supercar Legends?
Steer into the gate you want and let the car do the driving. Read ahead rather than reacting, because a multiply gate two rows down usually beats an add gate right in front of you, and a red minus gate in the wrong lane can wipe out a whole run. Collect the loose cash between gates, then spend the total in the parking lot on new cars, merging matching pairs to push them up a tier, and buy extra parking spaces when you run out of room.

Mouse: hold the left button and move left or right to steer, release to let go. Keyboard: A and D, or the left and right arrow keys. Touch screens: swipe or drag left and right. The car accelerates on its own in every case, so steering is all you ever have to do.
