Privacy Policy
Introduction
The Speghetti Edition ("we", "our", or "us") operates this website to provide browser-based gaming content. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use pizzaedition.com, who it goes to, and what choices you have.
There are no accounts on this site. We never ask you to register or log in, and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords, or payment details — the site is free and takes no payments. Everything described below is either automatic technical data, information stored only in your own browser, or something you chose to send us.
Information We Collect
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 on every page. It records visits and a small number of events about how the site is used: a page view, when a game page is opened, when a game page has been open and visible for 30 seconds, and when you click a link that leads to a game (including which page you clicked it from). Alongside these, Google Analytics collects the usual technical details — approximate location such as country, region or city derived from your IP address, device and browser type, screen size, language, and the site or search that referred you.
This data is pseudonymous rather than truly anonymous: Google Analytics assigns your browser a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted, but it does not tell us who you are, and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors from it. Some games also report when an advert was requested or watched.
Server and network logs. Like any website, our servers and our CDN provider (Cloudflare) automatically log requests, which includes your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. These logs are used for delivering the site, security, and diagnosing faults.
Things you send us. Game votes and the optional feedback message that can follow a thumbs down, and the "Request a Game" and "Report a Bug" forms on our Settings page. These are described in their own sections below.
How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
• Monitor site performance, stability, and security
• Improve the user experience and loading speeds
• Understand which games and pages are popular, and order the site accordingly
• Fix bugs and broken games that visitors report
• Measure advertising performance
We do not use this information to personally identify users, and we do not build profiles about named individuals.
Cookies and Local Storage
The site itself sets one cookie: exp, a single letter ("A" or "B") that keeps you on the same version of the site if we are running a layout experiment. It lasts 30 days, contains nothing about you, and is not shared with anyone.
The site also stores a few values in your browser's local storage. These never leave your device except where noted:
• recentlyPlayedPerLocale — the games you recently opened, so the site can show them again
• vote:voterId — a random number generated in your browser the first time you vote, so a game counts one vote per device. It is not linked to your identity and is sent with your votes
• vote:<game> and vote:counts:<game> — which way you voted on a game and a cached copy of that game's vote totals
• vote:fb:<game> — a marker recording that we already asked you for feedback on a game, so we do not ask twice
In addition, Google Analytics and our advertising partners set their own cookies and use similar storage technologies, as described in the next section. You can clear all of this at any time through your browser's settings; the site will keep working, it will simply forget your recently played games and your votes.
Advertising
This site is funded by advertising. Game pages show banner adverts through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-2550143154036518), and some games offer an optional rewarded video advert delivered through Google's ad services. Our homepage, browse and category pages, search, and these legal pages do not currently carry an advertising unit.
Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve and measure adverts, including adverts based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Besides Google, the advertising sellers authorized in our ads.txt file — any of which may be involved in filling an advert slot — include AppLixir, Meta Audience Network, Xandr (AppNexus), Yahoo, fluct (adingo), OneTag, PubMatic, Magnite (Rubicon Project), and Equativ (Smart AdServer). Each operates under its own privacy policy, and we do not receive the data they collect.
You can limit personalized advertising at Google My Ad Center, optout.aboutads.info, or youronlinechoices.eu, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Game Votes and Feedback
When you press the thumbs up or thumbs down button on a game, your browser sends the game's identifier, the random vote identifier described above, and which way you voted to our own vote service, which runs on Cloudflare. If you press thumbs down you may be shown an optional box asking what you did not like; if you submit it, the text you typed is sent the same way and is forwarded to a private channel that the site owner reads. Nothing is sent if you leave the box alone or dismiss it.
We ask you not to type personal information into that box. Because the only identifier attached is a random number stored in your browser, we generally have no way to find a specific person's feedback afterwards.
Third-Party Content and Games
Games on this site were made by third-party developers and originally published through third-party services. They are served from our own servers and run inside an embedded frame on the game page. Some games may still include code from their original developer or distributor that may contact those companies' servers, save your progress locally, or collect gameplay data. This activity operates independently of us; we do not control or store that data and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those providers.
Forms on the Settings Page
The "Request a Game" and "Report a Bug" links on our Settings page open forms hosted by Google Forms. Anything you enter there goes to Google and then to us, and is covered by Google's Privacy Policy as well as this one. The forms are optional, and you do not need one to use the site.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your information, and we do not hand it to anyone in exchange for money. We do use third-party services to run the site — Google Analytics for measurement, Google AdSense and its advertising partners for adverts, Cloudflare for delivery and for our vote service, and Google Forms for the support forms — and those companies process data as part of providing those services. Some privacy laws treat interest-based advertising itself as "sharing"; the opt-out links in the Advertising section above are the way to limit it. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data Retention
Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in Google Analytics and is then deleted by Google. Server and CDN logs are short-lived and used for operations only. Votes and feedback are kept for as long as they are useful for improving the site. Third-party advertising and game providers retain what they collect under their own policies, which we do not control.
Data Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we rely on established providers (Google and Cloudflare) for the services described above. We hold no passwords and no payment details, so there is no account to be compromised. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
You can clear cookies and local storage, block third-party cookies, use private browsing, or use the advertising opt-outs listed above at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing.
Because we do not collect names, emails, or accounts, we usually cannot connect a request to a particular visitor's data. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, contact us at thesynacofficial@gmail.com and we will do what we can, including passing the request on to the relevant provider where it is their data rather than ours.
Children’s Information
The games on this site are general-audience, and the site is not directed to children under 13 within the meaning of applicable children's privacy laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; we ask for no personal information from anyone. If you are a parent, guardian, or school and believe a child has submitted personal information through the feedback box or one of our forms, contact us and we will remove it.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
