Gobble Unblocked

Gobble

Gobble is a puzzle game about a giant mouth in the ground. You slide the mouth around a small blocky diorama and swallow everything on it: crates, cacti, fences, rubble, and eventually whole buildings once the pieces come loose. Clear the board and the level is done. The one rule is that you never eat people. The mouth is allergic to them, and swallowing one fails the level.

It is built in Fancade, Martin Magni's collection of tiny games, and it follows his usual pattern: one mechanic, clean voxel art, and levels that each take a minute or two. The forty-plus stages come in sets of ten, and every set adds a twist to the basic idea. Early stages are about eating in a sensible order; later ones bring in physics, moving objects and wandering people you have to work around.

Size matters. Small debris slides straight in, but bigger pieces have to be tipped into the mouth at the right angle, and tall stacks topple once the base is gone. Getting a tower to fall the right way, or luring a rolling object over the hole, is where the puzzle side comes in.

The people make it tense. They walk their own routes, and as the board empties there is less and less for them to stand on, so timing your last bites so that nobody is standing above the mouth is often the hard part of a level.

It is a calm, quick game with no timer, no lives and instant restarts, which makes it a good fit for a short break. If you liked Hole.io or Donut County, this is the same idea shrunk into tidy single-screen puzzles.

How to play Gobble?

Drag to move the mouth across the ground and pull objects in by sliding underneath them. Start with the small items to open up space, then knock over or roll the larger ones into the hole. Check where the people are walking before you clear the ground beneath them, and never let one drop in. If a level goes wrong, restart; each one is short enough that trying a different order costs nothing.

Controls

Mouse: click and drag to move the mouth. Touch: drag with a finger. The Fancade player only passes pointer input to the game, so there are no keyboard controls.

Play Gobble unblocked in your browser

Gobble runs unblocked in the browser on this page with nothing to install. It is a tiny download, so it loads almost instantly on school Chromebooks and older computers alike.

Who created Gobble?

Gobble was created by Martin Magni, the Swedish developer behind Mekorama and the Fancade platform it runs on. It builds on his earlier Fancade game Hole. The build itself only credits Fancade; his name comes from the Fancade wiki and the game listing.

Can I play Gobble on mobile devices and desktop?

Yes. Fancade games are built for touch first, so phones and tablets are the natural fit, and on desktop the mouse or a trackpad works the same way. It is very light and runs on any Chromebook.
