Bacon May Die is a side-scrolling brawler by SnoutUp where you play a pig fighting through waves of enemies. The combat is punch, kick and shoot, and the enemies are largely undead rabbits — sword-carrying bunnies, zombies and zombie bombers among them.

Underneath the brawling there is a full equipment layer that is easy to miss. The pig has slots for a weapon, a head item, trousers, a neck item, glasses and two pockets, and the items in them carry buffs that feed into stats including critical chance and defence. A shop sits behind that, so a run funds the loadout for the next one.

There are three modes in the build: a sandbox, a zombie arena and a demo. None of them is co-operative — this is a single-player game, whatever a second set of controls elsewhere might suggest.

How to play Bacon May Die

Keep moving between attacks rather than standing in a crowd trading hits, because the enemies surround rather than queue and defence only carries you so far. Fill every equipment slot even with weak items — the buffs stack, and an empty slot is pure lost value. Put early shop money into critical chance if you favour melee and into defence if you favour the arena, where the waves outlast a glass-cannon build.
