Unicycle Legend Unblocked

Unicycle Legend gives you two buttons and a unicycle and asks you to get to the end of the level. That is the entire control scheme, and it is much harder than it sounds, because the two buttons are not left and right in the way you expect.

You are balancing. The rider leans, and pressing the button opposite the lean is what pulls him back upright. Press the same direction you are already falling and you go down immediately. Getting anywhere means a constant small correction in both directions, which takes a few minutes to click and then never stops being a little bit precarious.

On top of that there is terrain. Levels are full of slopes, steps, gaps, moving platforms and objects that were clearly placed by someone who has watched a lot of people fall off unicycles. Speed helps on some of them and is fatal on others, so knowing when to slow down is most of the skill.

There are over a hundred levels, and they are short. Falling costs you a few seconds, and the game drops you straight back at the start or the last checkpoint, which is the only reason a game this fiddly is playable at all.

It comes from Unept, the same developer as Unicycle Hero, and it keeps that game's scrappy hand-drawn look and dry sense of humour. The difficulty is the joke as much as the setting is.

How to play Unicycle Legend?

Press the button opposite the way you are leaning. If the rider is tipping forwards, press back; if he is tipping backwards, press forwards. Tap rather than hold, because holding a direction is what sends you over. Approach steps and gaps slower than feels right, get the wheel balanced before you commit, and when a section keeps beating you, stop trying to power through it and ride it at a crawl instead.

Controls

A and D or the left and right arrow keys to ride and balance. Spacebar pauses, R restarts the level, L opens level selection, and Escape goes back. On touch screens there are two on-screen buttons.
