Friday Night Funkin' Unblocked
Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game about a kid called Boyfriend who has to sing his way past everyone standing between him and his Girlfriend, starting with her ex-rockstar dad. Each song is a back-and-forth: the opponent sings a line, arrows scroll up your side of the screen, and you press the matching direction on the beat to sing it back. Stay on rhythm and the health bar tips your way; miss too much and you lose the song.
This is the original web build, version 0.2.7.1 from February 2021, the last release before the game went into its long rewrite. It includes the tutorial and all six weeks of the original story: Daddy Dearest, the Spooky Kids on Halloween, Pico, Mommy Mearest on the limo, the Christmas week with the Monster, and the pixel-art Week 6 against Senpai.
Story mode plays each week's three songs in order with the cutscenes, on Easy, Normal or Hard. Freeplay lets you pick any song and difficulty on its own, which is where most players grind for full combos. There is an options screen, and the donate link in the menu points to the original team.
The music is by Kawai Sprite, the art by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, and the code by ninjamuffin99. Bopeebo, Fresh, Dad Battle, Spookeez, South, Monster, Pico, Philly, Blammed, Satin Panties, High, Milf, Cocoa, Eggnog, Winter Horrorland, Senpai, Roses and Thorns are all here with their original charts.
Difficulty ramps quickly. Week 1 teaches the four arrows; Week 4 and Week 6 on Hard throw dense patterns and long hold notes that demand real timing. The game keys everything to the beat, so it rewards playing with the sound on and a keyboard under your hands rather than a touchscreen.
How to play Friday Night Funkin'?
Pick story mode to follow the weeks in order, or freeplay to jump straight to a song. Watch the arrows on the right-hand side and press the matching direction as each one lines up with the grey receptor arrows at the top. Hold the key through long notes and let go when the trail ends. Misses cost health and hits refill it, so a rough section can be recovered if you nail the rest. Start the later weeks on Easy; the charts are much sparser and let you learn the songs before you try Hard.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to hit notes: left, down, up and right. Enter confirms menu choices and pauses during a song, Escape backs out of menus, and space or Enter gets you past the title screen. A keyboard is required; this version has no touch layout.

Who created Friday Night Funkin'?
Friday Night Funkin' was created by ninjamuffin99, who programmed it, with art by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r and music by Kawai Sprite. It started as a Ludum Dare 47 entry in October 2020 and was released on Newgrounds; the credits and changelog shipped with this build name the same team.
Can I play Friday Night Funkin' on mobile devices and desktop?
Desktop only, in practice. This build has no on-screen buttons, so it needs a physical keyboard: a laptop, a Chromebook or a desktop computer. It will load on a phone or tablet, but you cannot hit the notes without keys.
