CircloO

The version on this page is circloO XL, the expanded release rather than the original — which matters, because XL adds a level editor and custom level support on top of the base game.

The core idea is unchanged and unusual: the whole level is a circle, and the circle grows as you collect. You roll a ball with left and right, momentum is everything, and each collectible expands the boundary so that the space you have just learned reshapes itself into something larger with new geometry inside it.

XL layers more on top of the physics — portals, including an invisible variety, and motorised objects that turn and drive rather than sitting still — and adds star ratings on levels alongside the custom-level tools.

Tips for Success

Start by learning how the ball responds to your input on each surface. Roll back and forth to build momentum before attempting difficult jumps. Watch for visual cues about where ramps and curves are positioned. Once you collect your first few circles, the level becomes larger and more complex, so stay aware of upcoming obstacles. Patience with your momentum building often works better than rushing.

How to Play CircloO

Build momentum on the curve of the circle rather than trying to climb from a standstill; almost nothing in this game is reachable without a run-up. Expect the level to change shape after each pickup and re-read it rather than repeating your last route, since the expansion often turns a wall into a ramp. Use the motorised objects' rhythm rather than fighting it — waiting one rotation is usually faster than forcing a gap.

Controls

Left and Right Arrow Keys or A/D to roll the ball. Press R to restart the current level. The embedded version may support controllers via JoyToKey on desktop.
