Gas Station hands you a run-down fuel stop in the desert and a wrench. Cars pull in wanting fuel, you run over to the pump and fill them up, and the money they leave goes straight back into fixing the place. Old fences, dead trucks and piles of junk litter the lot, and every one of them can be broken down and hauled away to make room for something that earns.
It plays as a tycoon game on foot. You are the attendant, so you physically walk to each job: refuel this car, repair that engine, clear those crates. Better tools make each task faster, and as income grows you hire staff to cover the pumps while you expand. Each new service, from tyre changes to a car wash, brings different vehicles and bigger payouts.
Things break. Cars limp in smoking, and some wrecks need a higher-level tool than the one you carry, so there is a steady loop of earn, upgrade, unlock. Serving several customers in quick succession builds a combo bonus, a task list points you at the next sensible purchase, and odd visitors such as a crashed alien saucer and racing cars turn up for special jobs.
The idle side is that the station keeps earning while you are away, so a few minutes here and there still moves things forward. Gems are the premium currency and drop from bigger jobs; coins do the everyday work.
The game is built in portrait, so on a widescreen monitor it sits in the middle of the frame with space either side. That is normal for this one and not a display problem. If you enjoy the loop of My Perfect Hotel or Monkey Mart, this is the same kind of game with cars in place of guests: low stress, satisfying, and always one purchase away from the next upgrade.
How to play Gas Station?
Walk to any car with a fuel icon over it and stand beside the pump to fill it, then walk to a highlighted wreck or pile of junk to break it down. Sell what you clear and buy the cheapest upgrade on offer; early on, faster walking and a bigger fuel tank pay for themselves within a couple of minutes. Hire staff as soon as cars start queuing so you are free to expand, and read the task list whenever you are not sure what to spend on next. Do not leave wrecks sitting around: they block space you will want for new pumps.
Controls
Keyboard: WASD or the arrow keys to move. Mouse: click and drag to walk in that direction. Touch: drag a virtual joystick. Refuelling, repairing and clearing all happen automatically once you are standing next to the job.
