Flip Bros is a one-button physics game about a floppy little guy in a white tracksuit who fights by throwing himself at people. Hold the button and he jumps and starts spinning; let go and he shoots off headfirst in whatever direction he is facing, arms and legs trailing behind him. Line the dive up with an enemy and they go flying. Miss, and he flops onto the floor in a heap, ready for another attempt.
There are 150 levels and each one is a small arena with a handful of targets. Early rooms are a couple of enemies on flat ground; later ones stack in rotating platforms, sliders that carry you sideways, trampolines that fling you back into the air, teleporters, glass pipes, wooden crates that take several hits to break, and zones that cut your dive short and drop you. Levels are over in seconds, so the failures never sting for long.
Every level hands out up to three stars, and the star count is what pushes you to replay rooms you have already cleared with a cleaner run. Coins collected along the way go into a skin shop where you can swap the tracksuit for other outfits, and the game keeps track of how many restarts it took you, which is a quiet little dare to do better.
The character is a proper ragdoll, so momentum matters. A good dive carries you through one enemy and into the next, and the best players chain targets by bouncing off walls and platforms rather than resetting after every hit. It looks silly, but there is real timing in it.
Flip Bros comes from Gametornado, the studio behind a long line of physics-driven ragdoll games, and it shares their usual mix of cartoon violence and quick, forgiving restarts.
How to play Flip Bros?
Hold to jump, watch the spin, and release when the head points at your target. The longer you hold, the more you rotate, so short taps aim low and long holds flip you over for shots at enemies above or behind you. Use trampolines and sliders to reach targets you cannot dive at directly, and hit crates from the side to knock them into enemies. If a level goes wrong, restart immediately instead of waiting for the ragdoll to settle.
Controls
Desktop: hold the left mouse button or the space bar to jump and rotate, release to dive. Press space to restart a level. Touch screens: press and hold anywhere, then let go.
